Whatever causes continual exposure to electromagnetic (EMF) radiation? Most of this exposure is coming from the use of our devices. Researchers and scientists have produced studies showing that there are health concerns associated with that.

The biggest threat is the Wi-Fi, which is a type of radiation used in our homes for cell phones, computers, TV, and perhaps other appliances we use. It covers the entire house in many homes with our smart devices.

When we are not using an EMF router guard, and it is always on, 24/7, we can have symptoms of exposure or overexposure.

What is Wi-Fi Radiation?

The growing concerns about how those frequencies impact our health needs our attention. I have experienced headaches, muscle aches, heart palpitations, fatigue, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and interruptions to my sleep.

You may have also experienced those symptoms. These things seemed so random; at first, I did not recognize there was an underlying cause.

With research and understanding, these issues have changed, and I want to encourage you that you can have a decisive reversal of any symptoms you might be experiencing related to EMF.

One of the easy and most effective ways to protect ourselves is to install an EMF router guard over our Wi-Fi router.

What is a Wi-Fi Router Guard?

A Wi-Fi router guard is a box made of metal mesh that works as a Faraday cage. You place your router in the box and close the cover.

The mesh then acts as a conductor, which spreads the radiation throughout the mesh and prevents most of it from reaching you. A router guard can reduce your Wi-Fi s EMF emission by up to 99%.
Installing EMF router guards is one easy and effective EMF reduction strategy. It’s especially beneficial for families who have their router placed close to areas where they spend a lot of time.

Router Guard Options

I will give you several different options you can for protection from radiation emissions. Choose the solution that will work best for you and your budget.

Cages

Smart Meter Router Guard ? This is the classic Faraday cage. Smart Meter claims this guard blocks 85% of the EMF your router emits. Protects the whole house It comes in 12? x 9? x 3? inches but does not fit large routers like the Xfinity or ATT Unverse routers.

Faraday Defense Router Shield is a heavy-duty version of the Faraday cage. Interior dimensions are 3.5″ x 10.25″ x 12″, which fits most routers. Faraday Defense claims that this unit provides 60 dB attenuation (or signal reduction), which translates to a 99.9% reduction.

Bags

Know how to sew? You can buy fabric and make your covers. Measure your router and make the bag so the router will fit inside.

SUPERIOR SHIELDING PERFORMANCE – There are highly secure situations that require blocking off electromagnetic signals. The Faraday Fabric is a sturdy conducting material used for shielding against the electromagnetic field (EMF), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and radiofrequency (RF) signals. Its composition effectively blocks Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cell signals, GPS, and RFID.

Build Your Own Router Guard

If you have a welder in your area that can make a router guard for you with wire mesh and solder, you could have the size you need to cover your Wi-Fi router.

Alternatives to Router Guards

Move Your Router

Move your router to a place in your house that is not in an area that you use frequently. Distance from the router source reduces the radiation.

Turn Your Router Off at Night

Turn off your router at night to significantly reduce the risks of Wi-Fi radiation. Your router settings can do that automatically for you. Your user guide will have instructions for you to follow.
This option will give your body relief from the continuous emissions of Wi-Fi during the hours you are sleeping. It also reduces the radiation you adsorb.

Hard-wire

Using Ethernet cables to hard-wire your devices is a great way to reduce your EMF exposure. The article on that will give you a great deal more information about how to do that.

And the No-Tech Solution?

Cover your router with an upside-down mesh wastebasket. Most routers would need a rectangular wastebasket.

We have become so used to our devices and the convenience that we do not want to give up those conveniences. The situation is unlikely to change because EMFs and radiation are everywhere. We can choose to use the steps suggested to reduce our exposure and improve our lives.

Starting with controlling the toxicity in our homes or offices is a step toward improving our health. Every measure we take to reduce EMF is a step in the right direction
